Every episode of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir revolves around either one of the main villains, an Akumatized victim, or a Sentimonster that the heroes have to defeat.

For the most part, these villains prove to be challenging to beat, and a few of them such as Penalteam or Strikeback have required Ladybug to put together an entire team to succeed. Yet, as powerful as the villains can be, some of them have proved to be utterly weak; Mr. Pigeon alone has been defeated 72 times. While some of Shadow Moth's victims are well-chosen, his desperation has caused him to create multiple weak allies.

10 Shadow Moth Isn't As Strong As He Seems

Shadow Moth and Butterfly

While many would argue that Shadow Moth is powerful, being the show's lead villain, all evidence points against that conclusion. In every attempt to defeat Ladybug and Cat Noir as Hawk Moth, he failed. Then, when he repaired the Peacock Miraculous and became Shadow Moth through Dual Metamorphosis, he should have become stronger.

But while his powers improved, his strategy didn't. He once again relied on throwing Akumatized villains at Ladybug and Cat Noir, all of whom they beat until the Season 4 finale, "Strikeback." However, even though Shadow Moth claimed all but Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous in the finale, he didn't do so on his own merits. He only won them because of Felix's plan, proving that although Shadow Moth is determined and certainly a threat, he is incapable of forming good strategies based on his assets.

9 Mayura's Damaged Miraculous Held Her Back

Mayura Miraculous Ladybug Peacock Transformation

Born from Nathalie's dedication to help Gabriel achieve his goal, Mayura was simultaneously one of the show's strongest villains and one of the weakest. Despite the fact that the Peacock Miraculous was damaged, Mayura handled her powers well, using her strong, analytical mind to create genius plans that were almost Ladybug and Cat Noir's undoing.

However, while Mayura was one of the greatest threats the heroes had ever faced, she couldn't succeed in her plans because her Miraculous was damaged. As the show has stated before, a damaged Miraculous jewel injures and weakens its user. Ultimately, Mayura couldn't return as a villain because of the injuries she sustained whilst using her Miraculous. Even now that the Peacock Miraculous has been repaired, Nathalie is too ill to use it.

8 Animaestro's Strength Is Also His Weakness

Miraculous Ladybug Animaestro

Thomas Astruc's cameo as Animaestro proved to be one of the more difficult villains for Ladybug and Cat Noir to defeat, which might lead some viewers to believe that he isn't weak. However, a villain is only as strong as their weakest point. Although Animaestro can transform into anything he can imagine, he is powerless as soon as nobody is watching him. Since the people of Paris trust Ladybug and Cat Noir implicitly, they gladly followed the orders to stop watching Animaestro, rendering him useless and making him easy to beat.

7 Guiltrip Was Beat By Positive Thinking

Miraculous Ladybug Guilt Trip Cat Noir

When re-Akumatized into Reflekta, Juleka was also provided with the Sentimonster Guiltrip. The Sentimonster's ability allowed it to absorb any being and make them suffer under the weight of their guilt until they were too despondent to fight back. Had the Sentimonster fought alongside Reflekta, it might have made a powerful foe. However, Reflekta was the first to feed herself to the creature, punishing herself and becoming overcome by her guilt.

When faced with the Sentimonster, it didn't take Ladybug and Cat Noir long to realize that the monster's greatest weakness was positivity. By keeping a positive attitude and bringing Pigella onto their team, they were able to quickly beat the villain with little trouble.

6 Santa Claws Was Easily Distracted

Miraculous Ladybug Santa Claws

During the Miraculous Ladybug Christmas special, Santa Claus made an appearance and was quickly Akumatized, transforming into Santa Claws. With the ability to travel quickly on his sleigh, turn his presents into smoke bombs that pack a punch, and conjure weapons from the gifts in his sack, this villain was presumed to be a prominent threat.

However, as with many Akumatized villains, Santa Claws became too distracted by his own goals to care about battling Cat Noir and Ladybug. Though he was later compelled to by Hawk Moth, Santa was distracted a second time by a gift from the heroes. While there was a chance for Santa to win on behalf of Hawk Moth, he was too invested in his own interests and became an easy mark for another Lucky Charm-powered trap.

5 Gorizilla Is Strong And Gigantic, But Too Stupid To Be A Threat

Miraculous Ladybug Gorilla

Having been created specifically to find Adrien, Gorizilla has very specific abilities. His sense of smell can lead him to any target, and his large height allows him to traverse great distances in little time. However, aside from his height and general strength, Gorizilla is limited by his low intelligence, making him an easy villain to beat. Not only is Gorizilla generally dimwitted, but as soon as his ability to smell is hampered, he's barely a threat at all. When first faced with Gorizilla, it wasn't even Ladybug and Cat Noir who hampered his search for Adrien. Instead, it was Wayhem, Adrien's number one fan who spritzed Gorizilla with perfume and rendered his tracking ability useless.

4 Reflekta's Power Isn't Dangerous

Miraculous Ladybug Reflekta

With Juleka being Akumatized on several occasions, viewers are used to seeing Ladybug and Cat Noir battle Reflekta. Her ability to make anyone look like her would greatly affect Ladybug, as it would remove her Lucky Charm ability and prevent her from using her yo-yo to capture the Akuma. However, it isn't particularly dangerous to anyone else. The people who Reflekta transforms still keep their sense of self, only gaining her appearance. So although Reflekta has had some upgrades with two different Sentimonsters on separate occasions, she isn't actually much of a threat unless she manages to directly hit Ladybug, which hasn't happened thus far.

3 The Sapotis Were Just Children

Miraculous Ladybug Sapotis

With a penchant for mischief and a destructive nature, the Sapotis might have made formidable foes had they not been literal children. Whenever Hawk Moth Akumatizes a victim, the strong emotion that caused their Akumatization becomes an obsession. Whereas adults may be reasoned with, children are single-minded in their focus, and this was the Sapotis' greatest weakness.

Although the Sapotis were innumerable, having the ability to multiply whenever they ate, they cared little for Ladybug and Cat Noir. When an opportunity arose that was more fun than chasing the heroes, the Sapotis gladly abandoned their quest to play instead. Ultimately, the Sapotis were just children, a target that Hawk Moth doesn't know how to control.

2 Mr. Pigeon Has Failed 72 TimesMiraculous Ladybug Mr Pigeon

Mr. Pigeon is a C-List villain at best, an unremarkable man whose only purpose in the show is to provide comedic entertainment. With very few exceptions, Mr. Pigeon's abilities don't grow much past controlling the birds which he was named for, although in the episode Mr. Pigeon 72, he also gained the ability to turn people into pigeons, though he was still as ridiculous as ever and easily beaten. The sad fact of the matter is that Mr. Ramier is just an overly sensitive man. Though that makes him an easy target, the viewers are left to wonder why Shadow Moth still bothers Akumatizing him after so many defeats.

1 Gigantitan Is Literally A Baby

Miraculous Ladybug Gigantitan

Gigantitan was the villain that Hawk Moth never intended to create. Due to a stroke of bad luck, the Akuma was drawn to the baby August instead of its intended target. While any reasonable person might have seen the failure in such a turn of events, Hawk Moth tried to work the situation to his advantage and make Gigantitan attack Ladybug and Cat Noir. However, with no concept of anything past lollipops, playtime, and naps, Gigantitan didn't pose a threat to the hero team as they did their best to locate his Akuma and return him to normal.
